A. Make sure the cable is seated properly in the device.
B. Try a new cable
2. Checking for System Recognition
A. Close kiosk and disconnect the phone.
B. Open Windows Explorer and connect the phone
C. Make sure to say “trust the computer” if asked.
The computer will probably beep.
D. The device should
i. Show up in Windows Explorer and
If above doesn’t happen, try updating iTunes
ii. A drive associated with the device (e.g.: X:\) should also show up.
if above doesn’t happen, try updating iExplorer to the latest FREE
version (don’t accept a PAID upgrade). When a new device is plugged
in, you may get a warning that version is incompatible with your
device and that you need to upgrade to the new PAID version to get
the latest features. You can safely ignore this warning.
